Kylie Jenner’s New Nails Look Like Your Childhood Jewel Box

The reality of working for a beauty magazine is that editors rightfully treat new celebrity manicures like they’re a critical piece of the daily news. And while they aren’t, actually, it’s clear from our analytics, dear readers, that you, too, treat them as being of similar (if not equal) importance. All of this is to say there’s a new nail look earning praise in our Teams channel: Kylie Jenner’s “crystal candy” manicure by celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorgit.

The manicure features almond-shaped nails in a sheer, milky nude base, each finished with a single oversized gemstone in a different cut and color—a pink emerald-cut stone, a silver square-cut crystal, a green heart-shaped gem, a ruby-red emerald-cut stone and a tiny yellow accent stone dotted alongside it, plus a mix of smaller teal and pink stones on the thumb.

This isn’t the first time Jenner’s worn nails with jewel accents. For her 27th birthday in 2024, the Kylie Cosmetics founder flaunted a similar look, also by Ganzorgit. They were similar in length and shape, though the jewel details set them apart. The 2024 version featured a glossy light pink base with multicolored, uniquely shaped jewel accents in peridot, ruby, lilac, blossom and aqua teardrop cuts—more uniform in placement compared to this new set’s mix of shapes and an extra accent stone tucked in.

The updated version had our editors feeling some type of way, naturally sparking a full-blown virtual powwow in our Teams chat. Our editorial director, ever the pragmatist, immediately clocked the practical concerns: “Wouldn’t that rip everything it comes in contact with?” Our senior beauty editor, meanwhile, was sent straight down memory lane: “Omg, it’s giving the pretty princess games I was obsessed with as a youth.” And me? I kept it simple with a “!!!!!!!”—because sometimes that’s the only appropriate response to breaking beauty news.
